If you’re looking for a boxing coach in Fort Collins who has actually lived the sport… you’re in the right place.
Shane Swartz isn’t someone who watched a few YouTube videos and decided to open a gym.
Boxing has been part of his life since he was four years old.
Born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, Shane grew up learning the sport under the guidance of his father, Roger Swartz, founder of the respected Choice City Boxing program.
From the beginning, boxing wasn’t just exercise or recreation—it was discipline, structure, and a way of life.
Over the years, Shane built a reputation as one of the toughest and most respected fighters to come out of Northern Colorado.
Known in the boxing world as “The Hurricane,” Shane competed in more than 300 amateur fights before stepping into the professional ranks, where he completed 24 professional bouts through years of hard work, sacrifice, and relentless training.
But what makes Shane different isn’t just his experience inside the ring.
It’s what he fought through outside of it.
After surviving cancer, Shane returned with an even deeper appreciation for resilience, discipline, and purpose. That mindset now drives everything inside Knockout Cancer Boxing Club.
Today, Shane helps adults, teens, and young athletes in Fort Collins learn real boxing technique in a structured, supportive environment focused on skill development—not fitness trends.
At Knockout Cancer Boxing Club, Shane teaches boxing the same way he learned it:
