Silver Level USA Boxing Certified Coach
Known throughout the boxing community as "The Hurricane," Shane Swartz has dedicated his life to the sport of boxing.
Born and raised in Fort Collins, Shane began boxing at just five years old under the guidance of his father, Roger Swartz, founder of the legendary Choice City Boxing program.
Over the next several decades, Shane established himself as one of Colorado's most accomplished fighters.
His accomplishments include:
6 National Boxing Titles
1991 Junior National Champion
1994 United States Champion
Ranked #1 Amateur Boxer in the World
Silver Medalist at the Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg, Russia
Over 300 Amateur Boxing Bouts
24 Professional Fights
Retired Ranked #14 in the World Professionally
Colorado Golden Gloves Hall of Fame Inductee (2023)
While those accomplishments are impressive, what truly separates Shane is his passion for teaching.
After nearly three decades in the sport, Shane now focuses on helping students develop authentic boxing skills through proper instruction, discipline, and mentorship.
Following his successful battle against throat cancer in 2019, Shane's mission became even larger than boxing itself.
Today, Knockout Cancer Boxing Club serves as both a boxing gym and a vehicle for impacting lives through sport, mentorship, and community.
